IN-PROGRESS
What is Play-based learning?
Play-based learning is a teaching approach that involves playfulness, child-directed outcomes, and a certain degree of adult guidance to help keep focus towards a general learning objective. Outdoor Play looks to supplement play-based learning with the proven benefits of being outdoors. Thus, our activities aim to meet the following criteria:
-
Playful
-
Child-directed
-
Some adult guidance
-
Learning Objective
-
Occur Outdoors
This doesn't mean that our activities have to happen outdoors, and we encourage parents to continue the fun all the way home and up until a well deserved bedtime!
Academic Benefits
